Hey RedHotHairTip fans! My name is Lisa, and I write a blog for tips and tricks about being a bridesmaid at therunawaybridesmaid.wordpress.com. This week I am here to share some tips and tricks for getting you all dolled up for any occasion, with complimentary colours for your perfect shade of red!
Whether your hair is naturally red or not, you definitely want to wear colours that compliment your gorgeous red do-especially when it comes to getting all dolled up for a special occasion, lets say something like a wedding! Here are some tips for finding that perfect colour match!
When it comes to getting dressed up, it can be difficult to find colours that compliment your hair colour. Yes, there is always a fashion staple in the little black dress, but who wants to always wear black when there is a whole world of colour out there?
Redheads look great in colour. Look at stars Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Isla Fisher, and Holland Roden-none of these leading ladies are afraid to challenge the colour conception. Though the most complimenting colours are greens, blues, whites, creams, and oatmeal tones, you don’t just have to stick with this colour pallet when searching for the right outfit.
Perfect for those autumn and winter occasions are dresses in green and blue, especially with jewel tones such as emerald and sapphire. Red heads are often told not to wear pinks or purples. I’m here to tell you that is false! Jewels tones like amethyst and bright cherry pink can also compliment your look. Also popular are metallic tones like gold and silver through the fall and winter seasons. These can be both fun and cute to wear whether the dress is in a matte material, or full of sequins.
For those beautiful spring and summer occasions don’t shy away from pastels like mint, lavender, and light pink. They can also look amazing with red hair. Just remember that you want to go for shades that compliment your hair and skin tone.
I think its safe to say when searching for the perfect look, don’t be turned off by colour. As with anything else wearing a specific colour tone will depend on your hair colour, as well as your complexion. Remember, there are hundreds of shades out there, and one of them is bound to work for you.
So don’t shy away from wearing bright colours! Be bold and go for it!
