A few weeks back I did a review on how Maybeline’s Nudes palette stood up against Urban Decay’s Naked – and I was super impressed! I always love finding drug store dupes for higher-priced products before investing in the real deal (or to avoid having to!)
Payton, a very talented make up artist based out of London (Lipstick Lounge) and good friend of mine wrote a review on how the Blushed palette. Very well written – and again, is making me more and more of a fan of Maybeline’s new line of shadows!
I purchased the Maybelline “The Blushed Nudes” eye shadow palette awhile ago, instantly falling in love with the very soft, warm and wearable hues it had to offer. This palette runs for $17.99 at the Shoppers Drugmart I work at in Canada, although there are constantly sales on the palette. The palette includes 12 eye shadows, from very light day-appropriate shades, to deeper night time smoky plums, browns and taupes. Like I said before, this palette is very warm-toned for the most part. Many of the shadows have very pink/rose gold undertones, although there are about 2-3 cool-toned or neutral shades to break it up. The shadows consist of mostly shimmery/frosty shades, with one or two matte shades. All shadows are surprisingly pigmented, considering the price, and the fact that they are drug store. I highly recommend this palette to anyone looking for a variety of wearable, smooth and pigmented…
