I love adding a festive flare to my nails for the holidays though with work I rather sport neutral tones then bright reds. I recently posted on my December Luxe Box goodies which included a Cuccio Colour’s nail lacquer in the colour Gazing in Genoa.
The colour is a really pretty soft, light nude/pink hue which gives the barely-there effect while still adding a nice tone to your nails. After sporting this colour alone for a few days I decided to add some festive sparkle in the spirit of the holiday season.
Using a basic white polish (OPI’s Alpine Snow is a great pick) I french-tipped the ends of my nails. Once this dried I added on a light coating of OPI’s Let’s Do Anything We Want! (limited Muppet’s addition from fall of 2014) over the painted tips to add some frosting. I really love this one since the confetti in the polish has light hues of pink which ties in the Gazing in Genoa base colour – but any polish with a little razzle dazzle will do!
Option 2: Opt for keeping nails the basic base pink colour and add some fun with the glitter polish on your accent nail.
