My friends constantly tease me for still shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch. Butttttt, my friends have also been asking me “where did you get those shoes?” all summer long.
While A&F definitely has the reputation of being fit for only high schoolers, I say don’t dismiss it just because you’re in your twenties now. While I don’t sport the logo’d shirts anymore (I promise I left those behind in grade 12), the truth is that a ton of what I wear is from there. For the most part, all of my jeans, dresses, rompers and bikinis have been purchased from there for probably the past solid five years. While their regular prices are pretty outrageous, they actually have some great finds — and, if you become familiar with their website, you can end up getting some pretty great deals (I’ll finish this thought below).
I bought the first pair of these sandals back in June when I saw them on sale for $20. I figured they were cute and black and I could probably pull of wearing them to work. I didn’t think they’d be all that comfortable, but hey for twenty dollars, why not?
Let me tell you: these sandals are the greatest. Not only do they go with a ton of outfits, but they’re so comfortable. Seriously. And as if that’s not enough, they’re great quality. I’ve been wearing them a ton for over two months now and you can hardly see any wear in them.
I love these slip ons so much, I even went back and ordered two more pairs in yellow and in a red and white checkered pattern. The ladies at work also liked them so much that we went in on a group order!
The sizes are pretty true to fit; I’m usually a 6 and a half, and the small fit just perfect. I think it’s worth noting that if you go online and see that their price has gone back to the regular $40, don’t be discouraged. They have redline clearance deals nearly weekly which often include free shipping (Canada included for once!) AND I’ve seen that the colours have been replenished since my first order.
I find buying comfortable sandals to be a challenge each summer which is why I’m so gung-ho about these bow slide sandals. Have you had luck with A&F or do you have other recommendations for summer shoes? I’d love to hear it. Be sure to follow along on my instagram for updates on more summer content coming shortly!
While you won’t find me decked out in their branded clothing and reeking of their signature scent (RIP 2007), I will for certain be wearing these shoes for the rest of the summer.
